My Hope Radio: In three or four sentences, how would you describe your journey of faith?
Lorna Brittany Macey: My journey with God has been bumpy of course but, I’ve always liked the lyrics of a song by Royal Tailor, “taking the easy road, you’ll learn the hard way”. I have chosen to take the “road less traveled” and follow God. He has been so good to me and His blessings are overwhelming.
MHR: What is your favorite Scripture in the Bible?
LBM: My favorite Scripture is probably Jeremiah 29:11: “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.”
MHR: What is your music background? (Who influenced you, when did you start singing, etc…)
LBM: I started singing when I was about three years old. My mom gave me voice lessons and then I began to sing at youth camp, and in high school, and on to college. I have always had a love for music and singing. Two of my greatest influences has been my mom and Lindel Anderson. I have learned so much from both of them!
MHR: What specific themes do you cover in your songs? Why?
LBM: My songs are about many different subjects, hopefully I will be doing another project soon, I want to focus more on the needs of young people.
MHR: Do you write your own songs? (If so, discuss your usual songwriting process.)
LBM: I have written one song on my album and hopefully will write more in the future.
MHR: Where can we listen, purchase, and connect with you?
LBM: My CD is on itunes and you can hear some on myspace also. If you would like to order the CD you can either buy through PentecostalPublushing.com or from me directly at [email protected]. I also am on Facebook!
