Gateway College of Evangelism

A generation ago the forward-looking leaders of the Missouri District of the United Pentecostal Church founded a college to develop men and women for ministry. Gateway College of Evangelism has been faithful to this founding vision. Hundreds of men and women have spread out across North America and around the world carrying the Oneness Pentecostal message.”

Since its inception, Gateway has provided quality education for ministry-minded young people. Why Gateway? We offer diverse degree programs, valuable ministry opportunities, and a committed faculty and staff to help you develop your ministry. In addition, you will network with men and women of like priorities and faith.

Degree Programs

Gateway offers several academic tracks for students. There’s literally something for everyone. Are you passionate about church music, pastoral studies, biblical studies, youth ministry, or children’s ministry? Gateway offers a four-year Bachelor of Christian Ministry degree with emphases in each of these fields, as well as two-year associate degrees in children’s ministry, youth ministry, church music, and theological studies.

Are you interested in the Bible college experience but unable to commit to more than a year? Our one-year Life Focus program may be just right for you. It anchors students in fundamental biblical truth, equipping them for servant leadership in a local church setting. Additionally a one-year Certificate of Evangelism and Church Planting is offered to provide training for home missions.

Articulation Agreements for Accredited Degrees

While residing at Gateway, students may earn an accredited ministry degree from nearby St. Louis Christian College (SLCC) with approximately 3 years of credits at Gateway and 1 year of credits at SLCC. Because SLCC is accredited, students in this program qualify for federal student aid while taking classes at SLCC. Two degrees are offered:  Bachelor of Science in Bible and Christian Ministry and Bachelor of Science in Bible and Intercultural & Urban Missions. The latter degree includes certification as a Teacher of English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL)—a great advantage to students with a passion for world missions.

Graduate Opportunities

Graduates of Gateway College of Evangelism have many options for furthering their education. Missouri Baptist University accepts Gateway graduates into their master’s degree programs in Counseling and Business Administration. Entrance into other colleges’ graduate programs may be arranged on a case-by-case basis, depending on the specific requirements of the graduate institution.

Ministry Opportunities

While receiving formal education, Gateway students also have the opportunity to participate in hands-on training. Gateway dispatches student teams throughout the school year to minister in various communities and churches. Additionally, pending their pastor’s permission, internships can be arranged for students with an interest in serving in a church over the summer. If you’re interested in ministry, Gateway will put you on the front lines for practical evangelistic opportunities.

The faculty is an integral part of the tight-knit Gateway family. These men and women are highly qualified in their fields and have a genuine burden for developing the future leaders of the kingdom, which drives the college’s overall commitment to excellence.
